Bill thinks we are a jinx on his car. When we were in Fairbanks, and I was driving of course!, the timing belt broke, which bent one of his pistons. Two weeks later and several thousand later, he got it back and immediately hit the road for Homer to join us on the fishing trip tomorrow. He made it but went thru about a guart of oil every 100 miles. We found a loose oil filter this morning but it may have hurt the engine in the process. He thinks he can make it back to Fairbanks (600 mi) and back to the repair shop. I hope so. We are prepared to go to the rescue if necessary.

Will report on the fishing trip later. (Sorry you aren't here Jeanna!!)
