As Betty said, we had a great trip on the Lu-Lu Belle. It's quite a boat. Holds about 40-50 people, mahogany wood thru-out and oriental carpets. Capt Fred makes you wipe your feet before you board! My camera didn't quite die, so I'll post some pictures of the animals we were able to see. Did not get a good whale picture though. Mike was invited to go Halibut fishing with the owner of the rv camp on Monday. They were out for about 13 hours and about 70 miles out into the Sound. Caught 2 halibut, 70 lb and 40 lb, but not by him. He threw one back, too small, but had a good time. They are out in the pouring rain right now checking out the salmon. There are now so many salmon they have removed any limits.

Valdez is a great town with very friendly people and not too touristy. I really like it here except for the amount of clouds & rain you get but perhaps we are at a bad time. Will have to come back & check it out again. The owners of this park are from Hudson, WI in the winter and up here all summer.

Tomorrow we head for Fairbanks to see Bill one more time before we leave. I can hardly believe that we are "heading home"! Not quite yet though, still going over the Top of the World Highway and to Skagway and Juneau and then down thru BC. But our time in Alaska is winding down and it makes me sad. The rest of the crew is heading for Tok and on to Chicken & Dawson where we will probably catch up with them.

PS - If you can see them, there are people at the bottom of the Falls.
